First Memory

When I think back, the very farthest back that I can remember is of a time when I'm sitting at the table in my grandparent's house and my grandmother is feeding me. And as she spoons the food into my mouth she's crooning something in Konkani.
Probably saying "Lord, this child is a fussy eater!"

Anyway, that's my first memory - what's yours??

I don't know if it's really my first memory or not, but it's both an early one and one that I know is mine, because no one has ever told me the story of when it happened: I got knocked over by a football that "big boys" were playing with. My woolly tights got ripped and my knee was bleeding. I must have been about 3 or 4 and I've hated football ever since.

Ummm - I have a lot of memories that come back when I'm told about them but my own memory is standing in the corridor of the hallway of my house in Ozar [near Nasik] seeing the fighter planes do their trial sorties or wahtever and waving at them thinking my dad would be the pilot!

I clearly remember sitting in a red car seat. It had a little white steering wheel, with an absolutely wonderful horn in the middle..yup, it was the best used horn on the road....and being this was in the previous century there were absolutely NO safety features on the car seat...but I loved it and I'm here to tell ya about it.
